Record gas flow for Amity Oil at Gocerler-3

Amity Oil's Gocerler-3 appraisal well in Turkey has flowed gas at a maximum stabilised rate of 31 million cubic feet of gas per day through a one inch choke at a flowing pressure of 1004 psig, the company has reported.

This exceeds the previous best gas flow rate at Gocerler-1 of 14.2 mmcfd and now means the existing three Gocerler wells are capable of supplying gas to full pipeline capacity, Amity Oil said.

"These record rates at Gocerler-3 will allow Amity to increase gas production to full capacity of the pipeline, further consolidating the company's position as a substantial gas producer," said managing director of Amity, Mr Peter Allchurch. "Following this outstanding outcome, Gocerler-3 has now been shut-in and is awaiting tie-in to the gas plant and pipeline as soon as possible."
