Umbilical for Amerada Hess

Kvaerner Oilfield Products has been commissioned to deliver a 3048m steel tube umbilical for Amerada Hess' Garden Banks 215 Conger extension well number six, in water depths of between 384m and 441m.

The infield umbilical includes super duplex steel tubing and electric cables with operating pressure capacity of up to 15,000psi. Installation is planned for an offset distance of about 3048m.

The umbilical will be manufactured in KOP's new industrial complex in Mobile, Alabama, which is currently under construction and scheduled to be in production in the second quarter of 2003.
