Intelligent completions drive development of control line splitter

A simple, safe solution to service companies using new intelligent completion systems, and facing the challenges posed by splitting and stripping encapsulation from multiple control lines has been developed by AnTech Limited, a leading UK design engineering and manufacturing company.

Intelligent completions drive development of control line splitter

The company's range of splitters and strippers make it easy to split and strip encapsulated multiple control lines, without damaging the surface of the internal metal line. This is critical, as it is essential to maintain the integrity of the line.

AnTech said there was a greater safety aspect to the device. "Previously, the splitting and stripping process was time-consuming and dangerous, carrying with it a high risk of injury to the operator's hands," said Toni Miszewski, Managing Director of AnTech.

"With an AnTech Splitter or Stripper, there is no need for using hacksaws or knives. We have virtually eliminated the risk of cuts to the hands. Plus, splitting and stripping process can be carried out quickly and simply, at the wellsite or in the yard," he added.
