EXPLORATION

Drillsearch granted three permits in Bonaparte Gulf

Drillsearch Energy Ltd has been granted three petroleum exploration permits in the Southern Bonaparte Gulf, offshore Western Australia.

The applications are recorded as application numbers 21SL/00-1, 19SL/00-1 and 20SL/00-1.

Drillsearch said the applications were made in May of this year and they adjoin each other. The company added block 20SL/00-1 adjoins the permit in which Woodside Petroleum announced the discovery of gas at a rate of 31mmcfd from Blacktip-1 earlier this year.

Drillsearch said it is planning the exploration program for these permits. The company has primarily onshore assets, in the Surat, Cooper and Eromanga Basins.
