Lakes goes for gold

LAKES Oil has agreed to pay just $1 for mineral explorer Mingoola Gold in a deal that will give it the mineral rights over the Wilkatana area and allow it to conduct basic exploration despite the fact the fact the Pirie Torrens petroleum leases are yet to be granted.

 Lakes said this morning that it would purchase Mingoola from Dark Horse Resources - which originally generated the wildcat petroleum project in South Australia - for the equivalent of a gold coin donation....
