LNG marine fuel momentum builds

WARTSILA has won a contract to supply 16 engines to four Chinese dual-fuel LNG supply carriers after last year supplying the engine for Woodside Petroleum’s historic dual-fuel supply vessel the Siem Thiima.

Each of the 174,000cu.m capacity vessels will be fitted with Wartsila 34DF dual-fuel generation sets that run primarily on LNG, with a total output of 56 megawatts.    Those are the same engine sets...
