THE Australasian Oil and Gas exhibition and conference will host a record number of European oil and gas companies at this year's event.

AOG welcomes European delegates

The inclusion of a stand representing Belgium and its southern region Wallonia has attracted a number of industry heavyweights, with experts and innovators from Besix, Bootcode International, Eloy Water, Hamon D'Hondt and Telus all attending to demonstrate the best in Belgian technology.

The French Trade Commission will also attend for the third year running, hosting a delegation of 10 companies including SDV, Aventa, S2M, Coletanche, Bardot, Bluecham, Forgital Dembiermont, Duflot Industries and Douce Hydro.

The commission will be joined by the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which facilitates business relationships between French companies operating in Australia and Australian suppliers developing their businesses in France.

"To date we have had a 6% increase in the number of European companies who have signed on for AOG 2014 from 2013," AOG event director Bill Hare said.

"It is fantastic to see European companies recognising the value and importance of the Asia-Pacific market and striving to build meaningful relationships with our developers."
