Hardman said yesterday it had sold 6.5 million Arc shares with total proceeds being about $3.4 million, however it would retain 6.1% stake in the junior oil and gas explorer.

Hardman's decision two months ago to turn a convertible note into a 10.4% Arc stake was instrumental in helping to prevent a takeover by Tap Oil.
