Worley wins $150m Arab contract

The contract, expected to commence next month, will cover all of Saudi Aramco's ongoing offshore oil and gas projects including fixed platforms and submarine pipelines for the next five years with an option to extend for an additional four years.

The work will be undertaken by Worley's local subsidiary, Worley Arabia, a 50:50 joint venture that has been especially active in pipeline design and onshore facilities for Saudi Aramco since its establishment three years ago.

"The Saudi Aramco contract win is a major achievement for the company as it consolidates Worley Arabia's already strong relationship with the world's largest oil and gas company," said Worley chief executive officer, John Grill.

Two weeks ago, Worley announced the award of another significant new contract to provide design services for the rejuvenation of Shell's offshore facilities in Malaysia.
