The sale was foreshadowed in June, and includes Delhi's 21% stake in over 1000 individual oil wells, 300 gas fields, 80 oilfields and two gas and liquids processing plants.

Details remain unclear but it is understood a mix of institutional equity and debt will finance the deal.

It is the second bid the two men have made for the assets, the first bite at the cherry happening in 1997 through another company.
