Envestra raises over $80 million to pay note call

Australia's largest natural gas distribution company, Envestra Ltd, has told the markets its issu...

The company told the stock exchange it had raised over $24 million from the placement of 28.4 million new securities from its second offer under its security purchase plan.

This follows the placement of 67.5 million securities ($59 million) with institutions and large private investors last month.

Envestra said the it now has 705 million securities on issue and with a share price of 90 cents, a total market capitalisation of $634 million, which puts it into the ASX's "Top 150" companies.
