The second phase of a US$850 million, 3,000 km pipeline from Kazakhstan to China is scheduled to ...

This 1,300 km second stage is scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

The first section - a 450 km stretch from Atrayu to Kenkiyak in the Central Asian country - was built and put into operation at the end of December 2002. Another section - from Kenkiyak to Atasu - will be built at a later time.
