Showcasing some of the declassified nuclear equipment, which is being shipped in the USA by Libya, the US Secretary of Energy, Spencer Abraham, was happy with his haul. "We've had a huge success here. The equipment [is] the largest recovery, by weight, ever conducted under U.S non-proliferation efforts," said Abraham.

"[This is] just the tip of the iceberg because a shipload of Libyan equipment is currently sailing to the United States," added Abraham, who is in charge of overseeing the U.S. nuclear stockpile in eastern Tennessee.

Other officials, who declined to be named, have also revealed that the US has already shipped out "the most critical components". These include "the 4,000 more advanced centrifuges and the drawings Khan sold showing how to turn the uranium into crude warheads".

Most of these items were not shown to media and amongst them, according to the officials, is said to be evidence that "link specific products to Pakistan, Germany, Malaysia and a dozen other countries where Khan's network of suppliers and manufacturers operated".
