The green light, given by the Guangdong Planning Commission, will see Germany’s InfraVest GmbH invest around US$29.2 million on a project expected to generate 20,000 kW of electricity.

Nan’ao, with a sea area of 4,600 sq km is the only sea island in the province. Two other wind farm projects have also filed application to set up shop with the provincial government.
