Petrochem plant pitched for Terengganu

Road Builders (M) Holdings Bhd has received a manufacturing licence from the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) to develop a petrochemicals-based manufacturing facility in Kemaman, Terengganu. A yet to be identified foreign investor is to inject around US$100 million for the project with the Singapore-based Eastern Petroleum Services being the primary project development consultant.

Eastern Petroleum Services is said to have played a key role in bringing about the investment.

Construction of the facility is expected to begin next February.
