Otto alters Philippine seismic program

OTTO Energy has finished the 116 square kilometre Trinity 3D seismic survey in service contract SC50 in the Philippines, after which it says it has changed the order of the rest of the shoot.

Otto alters Philippine seismic program

Due to logistical reasons, the Perth-based company said the CGG-Veritas Pacific Sword has now moved into the deepwater SC55 permit, where it has also completed about 50% of this 954km 2D survey.

Otto said a further 94km of 2D seismic would be shot in SC55 to delineate a possible additional structure north of Marantao.

As a result of the changes, the SC51 survey will be completed last.

The entire seismic program is expected to be completed by the end of July, after which the data will be processed and interpreted with a view to start drilling.
