Trilateral ASEAN hydro deal a first

MALAYSIA will import 100 megawatts of Lao hydropower via the Thai grid after a landmark deal in another step to turn the landlocked nation into the ‘battery of Asia’, a process that began with Australian-led hydro projects in the 1990s.
