Melbana keen on Pukatea spud

MELBANA Energy is keeping its 30% stake in the high-impact Pukatea-1 well onshore New Zealand due to spud next month, while a consortium could be keen to farm in to fund a 3D seismic survey over the junior’s potentially massive Beehive prospect offshore Western Australia.

The Nova-1 rig should be mobilised by mid-next month to drill Pukatea-1 late January, which Melbana has decided to stick with given the high prospectivity and commercially robust nature of the prospect...
