Dili and ConocoPhillips confirm Sunrise buy

CONOCOPHILLIPS and East Timor jointly confirmed yesterday the nation’s buy of the US company’s 30% stake of the Greater Sunrise gas field for US$350 million, however, the deal’s go-ahead depends on the rest of the joint venture’s approval.

Not over the horizon yet, JV partners could still block East Timor buy of Greater Sunrise share

Operator Woodside Petroleum (33.4%) said yesterday that it and partners Shell and Osaka Gas "will engage with Timor-Leste following the government's joint announcement with ConocoPhillips".
