Mr Bogg has been involved with Bligh for 21 years and during that time held the positions of managing director and executive chairman. Mr Cormie for his part has been involved with Bligh for 31 years and in that time served as both managing director and chairman and more recently as non-executive director.

In other boardroom manoeuvrers, Mr Fraser Ainsworth is set to become chairman effective from today. Mr Ainsworth has extensive energy industry experience including holding senior positions in firms such as Delhi Petroleum, SAGASCO Holdings, SA Generating Corp and its subsidiary, Synergen.

Bligh told the stock exchange it also intends to move its headquarters from Brisbane to Sydney with exact details to be announced as soon as they become available. Bligh said the company would maintain a technical office in Brisbane for the transition period.
