All the contracts involve provision of Duffy & McGovern 20 x 8 feet engineering modules, which were featured at the AustralAsian Oil & Gas show in February this year.
The contracts with Origin Energy, Woodside Petroleum and Baker Hughes Inteq are each for one year.
Origin will receive a Zone 1 engineering cabin kitted out as a lunch room, including fridge, worktop space, microwave and seating area for use in a Zone 1 hazardous area of the Yolla Drill Ace platform in Bass Strait.
Woodside is taking a DNV 2.7.1 unit to use as additional office accommodation on the Goodwin A platform in north-western Australia.
Baker Hughes Inteq has rented a Zone 1 mud-logging cabin to be used as an additional stand-by unit in its fleet and for potential use in a New Zealand project.
Duffy & McGovern is also having two engineering cabins stationed at Goodwin A.
Schlumberger is using one as a technicians’ test cabin for leak detection and data acquisition work, while BJ Services has also commissioned a technicians’ cabin.
The cabins for these contracts will be supplied from Duffy & McGovern’s Perth fleet, which comprises both 20 x 8 feet cabins and sleeping accommodation units.totalling $350,000 with companies operating in Australia including Origin, Woodside,
