Premier Alan Carpenter was forced to reshape his cabinet after a string of scandals were uncovered by the state’s Corruption and Crime Commission.

One of those involved Bowler being in close contact with disgraced former premier Brian Burke and his business partner Julian Grill, who were hired to represent resources companies affected by his decisions.

At least three decisions made by Bowler this year were potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars to clients of the pair.

A second cabinet change has seen the environment portfolio removed from Minister Mark McGowen and given to Tony McRae, also the Minister for Climate Change.

McGowen was instead handed the education portfolio from embattled minister Ljiljanna Ravlich, who has came under fire for a series of blunders.
