Good oil shows and interpretation of wireline logs have indicated the well found 6m of net oil pay within a good sandstone reservoir over the interval from 1622-30m.

Cuisinier-1 is the first of three wells Santos plans to drill in the Barta Block. A further four wells will be drilled in the Wompi Block.

Santos is expected to drill the next well, Hudson-1 in late June to test an oil prospect mapped on the same trend of prospects where Cuisinier-1 is interpreted to have made a new oil field discovery.

Victoria Petroleum and Bow Energy are fully carried for seven oil exploration wells and 3D seismic in ATP 752P.

Each company will retain 15% working interest after the farm-in is completed.
