Lloyd's casts doubt on Ripper's claims

LLOYD'S Register Group has denied WA State Development Minister Eric Ripper's claim that the insurer gave Apache Energy's Varanus Island plant a "robust" health and safety clearance.

Lloyd's issued a statement on Wednesday night saying it had only ever conducted a "limited verification of Apache's operations", the West Australian reported.
