Watchdog investigates BG's Origin bid

THE Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is calling for submissions on BG Group's undertakings in a bid to address competition concerns arising from the company's proposed $13.8 billion takeover of Origin Energy.

According to the ACCC, BG said it would relax joint marketing arrangements between BG and Queensland Gas Company for the supply of gas to domestic

wholesale customers in southern Queensland.
