Probe into vessel incident off Barrow Island

THE Western Australia Department of Transport is investigating a safety incident that left an accommodation vessel carrying 270 workers off Barrow Island with two holes in its hull.

The West Australian said the MS Finnmarken was believed to have been struck repeatedly by a barge after the barge's fender failed during strong winds.
