Research aims to improve offshore projects

A TEAM of researchers from the University of Western Australia's Oceans Institute and Woodside Petroleum have been awarded a three-year grant to assess the impacts of cyclones on offshore oil and gas projects off WA.

A $559,000 grant from the Australian Research Council will allow the researchers to focus on predicating the ocean's response to tropical cyclones to improve the way the industry designs and operates
