WA govt puts focus on CCS

THE Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum will run a workshop over the weekend on the potential to develop the state's first onshore carbon capture and storage site.

The Collie Hub project, which was selected in 2009 as one of four potential National Flagship CCS projects in Australia, is examining options for a CCS using saline aquifers.
