The partnership will allow CDU to deliver a certificate course in process operations at Challenger's well-known Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training in Munster, south of Perth.

Students studying an eight-week certificate II in process operations course will be able to spend a week at ACEPT's full-scale process plant, giving them hands-on experience in a real-life industry environment.

"The newly signed partnership with CDU, along with a range of new remote, real-time training initiatives, will reduce the time required by students based in the Northern Territory to be onsite at ACEPT," Challenger training services general manager Jill Jamieson said.

"Students will learn a range of underpinning skills and knowledge at CDU before attending ACEPT to apply these skills on their specialist training facilities."

The certificate II in process operations is planned to be offered by CDU for the first time by midyear.

ACEPT is a leading provider of training for the oil and gas sector and attracts students from across Australia.
