WA's twin turbines roar to life

THE Western Australian government has pushed the button on a twin set of gas-fired generators costing roughly $300 million and delivering 200 megawatts into the grid.

The twin high efficiency gas turbines are the first of their kind to come online in Australia, and will operate out of Verve Energy's Kwinana power station.
