Siemens' Snowtown show

SEIMENS has been appointed to build South Australia's largest wind farm at Snowtown. It will be using its gearless drive wind turbine technology – the first time this approach has been tried in Australia.

When completed the Snowtown II wind farm development will be able to generate 270 megawatts - enough to power 180,000 homes.
