Santos' fast-tracked Narrabri milestone

SANTOS has submitted a preliminary environmental assessment for the $2 billion Narrabri CSG project to the New South Wales government – which agreed to help fast-track the "strategic energy project" about six weeks ago.

If all goes to plan, which seems unlikely given the state's CSG protest movement, the 70 petajoule per annum-targeting gas project could start construction in mid-2015 and produce first gas in late 2017....
