Under the contract AusGroup subsidiary AGC Industries will provide brownfield maintenance and support services for the operational phase of Chevron's assets in Western Australia.

"With our significant history in the downstream maintenance sector across Australia, I am proud that we can continue to work on some of the country's premier oil and gas assets over the next five years," AusGroup executive chairman and managing director Stuart Kenny said.

"The award of this contract further strengthens our position as an established maintenance services provider to the oil and gas sector within Australia by extending our broad base of recurring revenue streams."

AusGroup said the contract would create at least 100 local jobs along with traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities for the indigenous community.

The Singapore-listed company did not reveal the value of the Chevron contract.
