BHP Billiton's has posted its worst net profit in more than a decade, with its profits down more than 86% to a mere $US1.2 billion ($1.67 billion) after it was smashed by falling commodity prices, especially in its iron ore and petroleum businesses. It also reported five dead workers for the year.
