Armour shareholders back McClendon offer

WESTSIDE Corporation has run up the white flag, conceding it cannot take control of Armour after Armour shareholders showed steely resolve in the face of a certain cash offer, preferring to take a chance on exploration upside in the Northern Territory.

WestSide said it has no interest in increasing its offer for Armour Energy even further, after previously increasing its offer from 12 cents per share to 20cps.
