BEACH Energy has gone through more than most Australian oilers in the current oil price slump, with iconic head Reg Nelson retiring early and his successor jumping ship almost straight away, so it seemed like rubbing salt into wounds when RBC Capital Markets, impatient over long-telegraphed M&A activity, downgraded the oiler.
