LWP bets big on recovery

PROPPANT maker LWP Technologies has shrugged off a sluggish level of demand for its revolutionary fly-ash derived product in the oil and gas market and has pushed ahead plans to develop its first commercial-scale factory in India by the middle of 2017 after a promising visit to the US.

LWP says it and Indian partner Hallmark have agreed to fast-track the upgrade an existing plant at the city of Pune immediately with the aim of delivering first production by the end of June 2017.
