IN TODAY'S <i>Personnel Movements</i>: Monadelphous lures SKM lifer as director; new global director to spearhead Volga-Dnepr energy growth; ECS hires Scottish marketer; Aurecon taps ex-BHP man for CIO role.

Monadelphous

Helen Giles has been appointed as a non-executive director of Monadelphous.

Giles has more than 20 years of experience in the engineering, construction and maintenance sector, including a long career as a board director of global engineering company Sinclair Knight Merz.

With a strong background in risk, legal, governance and financial disciplines, as well as extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, she has chaired SKM's Risk and Compliance Committee, the Due Diligence Committee, and was a member of the Governance Committee.

Volga-Dnepr Group

Russian airline company Volga-Dnepr has appointed Vasily Zhukov as its global director to spearhead growth in the energy and heavy machinery industries.

Zhukov spent five years working for one of Russia's leading power engineering and construction corporations, responsible for developing relations with existing power and energy clients as well as attracting new customers within the Middle East-North Africa region.

He is the group's fourth global industry director, joining Axel Kaldschmidt, who has been appointed global director, aerospace Industry; Faycal Boumerkhoufa, GD, oil and gas industry; and Colon Miller, GD of humanitarian, government and defence programs.

Elite Control Systems

Systems integrator Elite Control Systems has appointed Tina Campbell, a Scot, as marketing coordinator to plan and execute online and offline marketing strategies and campaigns.

She will manage media relations, contribute to website and social media content, carry out web analytics, produce promotional films and conduct market and product related research.

Campbell previously worked for Optical Express, STV Group and ticket sales company TicketSoup.com in Glasgow.

Aurecon

Global engineering and advisory firm Aurecon has appointed Carl Duckinson as chief information officer.

Aurecon's global chief financial officer said Duckinson's "proven track record" as a senior IT executive in large and complex organisations, most notably including his skills in mapping technology strategy to business strategy and his strong track record of developing high performing teams, was important for Aurecon.

Duckinson recently led Toll Group's technology transformation, which included a period as Toll's Interim CIO.

Prior to that, he was CIO of Australia's largest independent gold miner, Newcrest Mining, for seven years. He has also worked at Avanade and BHP.
