“APT brings to this project deep experience in infrastructure construction and operations as well as relevant experience in working with coal seam gas suppliers,” Metgasco said.

APT will be responsible for constructing and operating the power station. Metgasco and APT intend to enter into a development and tolling agreement for the project.

Richmond Valley Power Station has been declared a Major Project by the NSW Government and the environmental assessment process is currently underway.

The project will generate NSW greenhouse gas abatement credits.
