Licensing rounds to drop 50% this year: Rystad

IT’s not just sanctioning but also licensing rounds due to fall to COVID-19 with some 50% expected to be cancelled this year, according to new research from Rystad Energy, which thinks new licensed offshore acreage will fall by 60% and onshore by 30% over 2019.
