Sydney Gas appoints former AGL exec

For the past 12 years Brown has specialised in the gas industry, holding senior positions with New Zealand's Natural Gas Corporation (NGC) and AGL where he finished as general manager of accounting.

"His expertise is in financial compliance and reporting, corporate governance, systems and policy, human resources, and in managing highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams," Sydney Gas said.

"His experience with one of Australia's top S&P/ASX 100 listed company's over the last five to 10 years and his knowledge of the gas industry in Australia will greatly assist Sydney Gas in its quest to bring more gas to market," said the company.

Sydney Gas also appointed a new company secretary in Mark Balfour, who is currently the Group's general counsel. Patrick Sam Yue has resigned after five years to pursue new opportunities as a consultant.
