Metgasco CSM pipeline a 'major project'

Declaring the Casino-to-Ipswich pipeline a major project will see the NSW Department of Planning take control of the portion of the project located within the state and fast-track the environment approvals process.

Approvals will also be required from the Queensland Government for the section of pipeline located within that state.

Metgasco also said it had applied to the Commonwealth Government for the project to be assessed under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.
