Comet takes off

BG Group's final investment decision for its Queensland Curtis liquefied natural gas project has seen shares in coal seam gas minnow Comet Ridge shoot up, prompting a speeding ticket from the Australian Securities Exchange.

Shares in Comet rose to a high of 20c on Monday, up from 15c at the close of trade on Friday.

Yesterday, the share price hit a high of 26.5c before closing at 22.5c.
