Fremont well reaches target depth, good oil and gas shows

FREMONT Petroleum said this morning its Amerigo Vespucci-1 well has reached its target depth of 5,977 feet with the independent mud logging company reporting evidence of strong oil and gas shows in the drill cuttings through the lower 1000 feet.

Fremont is now reviewing these findings and said it will report when the assessment is complete. The operations team is now tripping out of the hole and logging operations are scheduled within 24 hours....
