BYRON Energy (50%) and joint venture partner Otto Energy (50%) have completed upgrades and installation of a new compressor at the South Marsh Island 71-F Platform in the US Gulf of Mexico, to enable increased production of 2 million barrels of oil from the facility.

The new compressor will allow the company increased ability to control production rates as well as better manage the reservoir to improve oil recovery.
