Pacific Energy scores gas power plant contract from Fortescue

PACIFIC ENERGY has won a contract to build Fortescue Metals Group’s US$450 million new gas power station in the Pilbara, which will provide electricity for FMG’s Solomon mine in Western Australia.

The power station will be built by Pacific Energy's subsidiary Contract Power and consist of 15 Rolls Royce Bergen gas generators. The B36:45 gas generators will be supplied by Penske Australia.
