Chevron signs second gas deal with Alcoa

CHEVRON Corporation has signed a gas sales agreement with Alcoa for gas from its Wheatstone, Gorgon and North West Shelf LNG facilities today, the same day Perth Basin explorer Warrego Energy announced gas from its West Erregulla field would also go to the aluminium giant.

The agreement begins January 2024 and the US company will supply 37 petajoules of equity gas over "a multi-year term" in addition to the agreement struck December 2018 for 64PJ of gas.
