Queensland's latest battery warming up

QUEENSLAND's Vena Energy on Friday flipped the switch on its AGL-operated Wandoan South Battery Energy Storage System, which over the weekend began charging and discharging energy for the first time as the build nears completion.

A number of small battery asset projects are currently in the process of being brought online in the state of Queensland, but Vena Energy's Wandoan South is by far the largest at 100 megawatts / 150 MWh....
