Redflow powers Fiji's digital TVs

BRISBANE-based Redflow will be the power behind Fiji’s new digital television plans, with the Thailand-manufactured ZBM2 batteries to be used by New Zealand’s HiTech Solutions for a national program worth $1.6 million that delivers digital television across Fiji including regional and remote areas.

Aussie battery maker Redflow supports storm-resistant digital TV network 

The rollout of Fiji's digital TV network is an important part of the future of the country's future communications, with the cyclone season a three month annual occurrence; the battery powered television network will provide a stable information service. 
 
Between five and 60 zinc-bromine flow ZBM2 batteries have been developed to endure the harshest of environments and will be installed by HiTech across 10 locations. 
 
The development of the Fijian digital TV network was announced in December last year by the Fiji Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama as the entire nation made the switch from analogue television to digital.
