Amity Oil has had some success with gas flowing at its Cayirdere-1 wildcat well, located in area B of the Thrace joint venture in Turkey.

Gas flow at Cayirdere-1 for Amity

Project operator TPAO reported that the well was perforated over a nine metre interval between 649m and 658m on Friday the 2nd of May and flowed gas to surface in clean-up flow.

No indication of choke size or flow rate was given.

The state run TPAO estimates "most likely" (P50) recoverable reserves, if hydrocarbons are present, of 15 billion cubic feet of natural gas.

The well test program called for a 30 minute clean-up flow immediately after perforation, followed by shut-in to allow the measurement of pressure build-up and then a series of flows to using different choke sizes.

Area B joint venture partners, Amity (50%) and operator TPAO (50%).
